Italian bread is perfect for sharing. Whether it is tearing apart big fluffy-crispy focaccia at a party or dipping grissini into a communal bowl of something lovely or arguing loudly about how to fry garlic while you rip up ciabatta to mop up the sauce on your plate…..(I have begun to dribble).
This week at Just Bread the task was to bake Italian Bread and, as you know, Deborah – the lovely Bread Angel who is volunteering to teach the refugee women how to bake bread – is Italian. This week the ladies learned Focaccia, Grissini and all things Italian. The bread is a little pale because our oven is not the best – but it was amazing, delicious, and the women loved baking them. I think it’s time to have a bake sale???
